UW representatives win championship in programming
On January 19th the final of "Algorithmic Engagements" competition was held. This competition in individual programming is regarded as the most prestigious in Poland. A student of UW receives the title of the Best Student in Poland
Artur Bilski won the second place in 43rd edition of a nationwide "Primus Inter Pares" contest and he was rated first in the category "Primus Expert – Legal Sciences". The University of Warsaw among leaders in basic research
National Science Centre has published a ranking of units which were granted funding for their research projects and post-doctoral internships. UW was ranked second in terms of the sum granted, as well as the number of grants obtained. UW researcher awarded one of the highest Japanese orders
On November 20th Dr. habilitated Romuald Huszcza, a Professor of the University of Warsaw, received from the Ambassador of Japan in Poland the Order of the Rising Sun Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon. Over PLN 11 million for the University of Warsaw humanists
