Professor Aaron Ciechanover awarded Doctor Honoris Causa title
Professor Aaron Ciechanover has been awarded the title of Doctor Honoris Causa in the field of chemistry by the University of Warsaw and the Warsaw University of Technology. Professor Ciechanover, Nobel laureate in Chemistry (2004), has been awarded DHC for his outstanding contribution in science. The title of Doctor Honoris Causa of UW and PW is the 28th honorary title awarded to professor Ciechanover, who is one of the most prominent scholars in the world.
Currently he is a Technion Distinguished Research Professor in the Ruth and Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine and Research Institute at the Technion, and a member of many national and international scientific associations including the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities, the Pontifical Academy of Sciences, the United States National Academy of Sciences and Polish Medical Association.
