The official English name of the University of Warsaw

We wish to inform you that in accordance with the University's new Statute of June 21, 2006, the English name of our University has been changed as of October 1, 2006 to the University of Warsaw. Both the earlier name (Warsaw University) and the new official name (the University of Warsaw) are equally valid and may be used on information materials/symbols etc., until the end of academic year 2006/07 - that is, until September 30, 2007.
